How It Works

The emmi®-pet ultrasonic device uses a microscopic chip inside the brush head that creates up to 96 million silent air oscillations per minute.

When combined with specialized toothpaste and water, it creates a gentle suction effect that lifts plaque and impurities naturally - no harsh scraping required.

Our ultrasonic canine teeth cleaning is a cosmetic maintenance and preventive service designed to support daily oral hygiene. It does not replace surgical veterinary treatment under anaesthesia.

What to Expect at Your Visit

  1. Initial Assessment: Every dog starts with a quick oral check to ensure they are comfortable with gentle muzzle handling and suitable for cosmetic cleaning.

  2. Gentle Cleaning: We apply the ultrasonic brush head to the teeth in short, quiet bursts. Because it is completely silent, most dogs settle in quickly.

  3. Follow-Up Plan: Depending on the level of tartar buildup, we’ll recommend whether your dog needs a short series of sessions to lift stubborn buildup or just regular routine maintenance.

Session Details

We keep our session structures straightforward and transparent:

  • Initial Consultation & First Clean:
Includes a full mouth assessment, introduction to the equipment, your dog's own dedicated brush head, and an initial ca. 30-minute ultrasonic treatment.

  • Follow-Up / Tartar Removal Sessions:
For dogs with moderate tartar build-up, a series of regular sessions softens deposits so they can be safely and gently removed.

  • Ongoing Maintenance Sessions:
A treatment schedule and follow-up session will be discussed during your appointment.

Appointments are scheduled in 30-minute slots with a 15-minute buffer between sessions. This buffer allows extra time for potential overruns without rushing your dog and ensures a safe, quiet switchover with no dog-on-dog crossing paths.

Parking & Arrival

We have plenty of free parking in our main car park. If your dog is anxious, reactive, or has trouble walking from the main parking area, we also have dedicated parking right in front of the arena doors - just let us know in advance!

Safety

Our teeth cleaning sessions take place in a calm, dedicated treatment space inside our Wickford store.

Your dog's comfort and health always come first. Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a non-invasive, preventative maintenance service - it is not a replacement for veterinary surgery.

During our initial assessment, if we spot signs of severe oral pain, loose teeth, advanced periodontitis, or active infection, we will always be honest, pause the session, and recommend a direct referral to your vet for medical treatment.
